With over 20 years of experience, she brings a research-first mindset and a refreshing approach to strategy and planning. She’s known for simplifying the complex and helping firms turn big ideas into clear next steps. A frequent speaker at national AEC events, including Zweig Elevate and industry podcasts, Sarah currently serves as the President of the SMPS Foundation and was inducted into the SMPS North Texas Hall of Fame. Sarah is a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program (Dallas Chapter).

Scott D. Butcher, FSMPS, CPSM has spent several decades working to elevate the perception of marketing and business development in the built environment. As the former chief marketing office and principal for a group of integrated AEC companies, he successfully navigated the path to firm leadership and ownership before becoming a consultant. Today Scott is Managing Director, Strategic Growth Advisory for Stambaugh Ness, working to drive strategy across AEC firms while improving marketing and BD acumen through intentional planning and meaningful training. Scott is a regular presenter to AEC organizations, having given more than 250 presentations, including keynotes, to such audiences as SMPS, AIA, ACEC, AGC, CMAA, NCSEA, SDA, PSMJ, ROG, and many others, He also is an avid writer, having written more than 250 blogs and articles for AEC audiences as well as more than a dozen books. He is a Fellow of SMPS and has held a professional marketing certification for 30 years.

Barbara Stiles, FSMPS, CPSM is a proven strategic planning, business planning, business development, and marketing leader in the A/E industry with over 35 years of experience. She is passionate about helping firms meet their growth goals and accomplished in providing strategic and business planning, education and training, and strategic direction in pursuit of new business. Barbara is a former Vice President and shareholder for WGI, Inc., a national, multidiscipline, engineering/architectural firm. Over her career, she has worked for firms as small as 200 employees and as large as 80,000 employees.
Barbara has been a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) since 1999 and served on the SMPS Central Florida board for six years, including a year as Chapter President. She currently is an advisor to chapter’s Education committee. She also served four years on the SMPS National board as secretarytreasurer and was a Trustee on the SMPS Foundation Board. She is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) and was recognized as a Fellow of SMPS in 2016.
SMPS webinars are approved for 1.5 continuing education units for the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) program and 1.5 learning units from the American Institute of Architects. Recordings of SMPS webinars are approved for 1.5 CPSM CEUs.
