Podcasts have always been an excellent way to communicate your firm's expertise and grow an audience. As A/E/C firms seek new approaches to networking and building trust and business, your firm should consider podcasting. In this three-part workshop led by digital-marketing expert and podcast host, David Lecours, you'll learn how to develop, record, distribute, and promote your podcast.

Session 1: Develop Your Podcast
Similar to your firm, you’ll need a strategic plan for your podcast. Gaining clarity on your podcasts' purpose, vision, positioning and values will establish a foundation for success—and will help you sell the idea to your boss. You'll learn about expenses and possible revenue streams. And, we'll discuss various podcast formats with pros and cons to help you make a decision about what's ideal for your firm. Session 2: Record and Edit Your Podcast
Before you hit record, you'll need a repeatable process for recruiting and preparing guests. Learn how to script an episode and how much time to allocate for research and preparation. You don't need a degree in audio engineering, but there are some basics you'll learn to sound your best. Learn about equipment and software needed to record and edit your podcast. Session 3: Distribute and Promote Your Podcast
First, you'll learn about the hosting options and analytics to measure your podcast's reach. Then we'll discuss the three main distribution channels: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts. Your podcast will need your marketing skills to build awareness and build an audience. This session will cover branding and how to launch your new show. Then, learn how to promote episodes through a website, social media, email, guests, and collaboration. You must register to access.
